The biggest problem is the moving leaves, but you probably could mask out a patch of leaves from the same clip and put that on top of the boom. Remember to feather the mask to get rid of sharp corners.

I can repeat that error all day long with Prores. MXF files and H264 work fine, although I can only check the H264 files in QT.

You really shouldn’t use mp3s they can cause all sorts of problems. You can try clearing out your render files and media cache.

Ummm? Just make a text with the titler? You don’t need to key anything. Or are you trying to use an existing title that doesn’t have transparency in it?

Also you could try repairing the file permissions from the disk utility.

You can do that in the interpret footage dialog in Premiere. That doesn’t change the original file like Cinema Tools does though.

Well can you even try to set the permissions? Even if you don’t think it’s the issue.

Actually I’ll take that back, the disk speed doesn’t matter that much.
I have a similar machine except it’s a Mac, the i7 is 3,4Ghz, it has 16 gigs of RAM and a thunderbolt raid with 500 MB/S read and write. Encoding an hour of full HD PNG Quicktime would take me about 9-16 hours (on the render estimate) so it could easily take 26 hours.
I’d suggest getting the DNxHD Quicktime codec and trying that. It works on any OS and can hold alpha information.
