i started having this problem today…been using it for a year, and it’s different today. i can still do, “new sequence from clip”, and that works, then i can copy and paste the clips from that timeline to another. then i found this thread. clicked a little more on the V1’s, etc., but also toggled the “toggle sync lock” button on and off (never used it before), set it back to where it was and then i could drag stuff to the timeline. go figure…

AND, now that i’ve rendered some clips from the timeline and bring them back in, they only have 1 audio track, even though the timeline it was rendered from had 2. wut up wif dat????

Ah, very cool! Thanks for the tip! Doing that i find pretty much ALL my clips as being offline (“?” icon next to their names), even though the way i reconnected the right clips yesterday was to group select the clips on the sequence and then “Link Media”, which worked great. I had to do it this way because upon opening the project and re-finding the clips as the requestor came up (as the project was trying to load), it kept re-attaching the wrong clips, even though i went to the same path it was telling me to to find the right clips. I did this three times and got the same wrong results every time, so just let them “offline”, and reattached manually from the sequence itself.

Thanks. 2014 seemed a bit buggie before, but are you all using it fine now? Also, i stupidly discovered that when i looked at the folder created by Project Manager the AVCHD file was a folder with the original mts clips in there…so it looks like it did what i was looking for. Cool!

well…eureka. after trying ALL the settings options for audio output and getting nowhere, i thought i would try cleaning out the preview file folders, etc. there was over 30 gigs in there.

voila!

whatever that did, all my audio playback is like it used to be…AND as soon as did that clean out, “Premiere Pro 7.0” was suddenly available again as an option for sound output in my system sound prefs. go figure.

same problem here. short of going to back to reloading the project again and doing all the relinking that way (the thing it asks you to do upon launch when clips have moved), isn’t there a way from within the sequence to right clip on the diagonally striped clip and re-link? if so, i do not see that option…

Me, too…once again. Of course all footage is backed up, but when i simply move it to a new folder on a new drive, ALL the stuff inside needs to be relinked (folder by folder, fortunately rather than clip by clip, which is good!), but you would think once you point to the main folder, it would find everything else (i think ol’ FCP did that, no?). Yes, i know, send it to “feature request” which i will do, and then cross me fingers…

Ben, I’m right there with you. For a show i do i have a template for lower thirds. I change the name and their title beneath on a second line. It would be great if you could send this to render queue, then just change the name and title for the next guest and send to the render queue (thinking, somehow, that all the previous settings have already been stored in the queue’s memory), but alas, it always only renders out the last settings sent to the queue from that comp. yes, duplicating comps would work, and might be the best workaround, but does seem like added work and projects.

Walter, i have heeded your, “Any sentence that contains “would be great if” should end with “so I filed a feature request [link],” and bookmarked the request page. Already sent two in this morning. Thank you!
