No audio output today!
I have no idea what happened. I haven’t changed any settings or moved any plugs/cords, but today there is no audio output from my whole system. I’m normally using my BlackMagic card to go through, but right now the only thing that works is for things like iTunes and internet videos to play sound via the “internal speakers” setting on the Mac, though even that doesn’t work for sound out of PP. Anyone seen this before???

check audio settings in PP preferences

well…eureka. after trying ALL the settings options for audio output and getting nowhere, i thought i would try cleaning out the preview file folders, etc. there was over 30 gigs in there.
voila!
whatever that did, all my audio playback is like it used to be…AND as soon as did that clean out, “Premiere Pro 7.0” was suddenly available again as an option for sound output in my system sound prefs. go figure.
