June 2, 2014 at 3:44 pm in reply to: Adding ProRes presets

    Hi Dave,

Well, i THOUGHT i had the latest/greatest QT for Mac. I have QT Player 10.2, and QT Pro 7.6.6 (also, not an Adobe question, but why when i open QT or Preview, a whole flood of files open instead of only the one i’m aiming for?). Back to ProRes, I downloaded the PR presets from the Adobe site, but see nothing in AME reflecting that. As for building them myself as you elude to, is it then just a matter of making/saving a custom preset and calling good? I don’t see the point in have downloads from Adobe if they aren’t also importable. Anyway…a little confused (as usual) and dismayed here. Thanks for any help.

May 27, 2014 at 3:12 pm in reply to: Premiere CC not joining long AVCHD clips

Thanks Tero and Jeff. Ya, i normally do “cmd-import” and everything works fine, but with these long puppies it’s different. I’d never used the Media Browser before….i tried it over the weekend just dragging the clips (via MB) to a timeline, but i got the same results. This morning, it worked! Not sure what i did different. Thanks for the tip. So, it still seems i can’t drag a folder of clips from MB into the Project folder, but i can drag individual (or groups of) clips. Anyway to keep the folder structure intact for organization? I have several folders of clips to bring in.

Thanks, William. I downloaded it and watched the tutorial, but it looks like it’ll take a bit of practice to come up with some good-looking results. Also, i’m using CC and it seemed to really bog down the previews…like he said in the tutorial, it sounds like from CS6 on this could be an issue.

Thanks. That was what i figured. Anyway, i right click on the little box, get the drop down menu, click on “Motion” (or anything), see the next drop down menu and even if i click on one of those nothing happens.

Thanks Ann…but what is the “Transform Icon?” And when you say “Effects Controls”, do you mean the little gray or yellow box in the upper left corner of the clip on the timeline?

(sorry for my ignorance on this)

    Thanks Ivan,

Ya, i’ve done those workarounds, just figured i was adding extra steps and missing some shortcut. Apparently not.

    Hey Adobe…here’s a feature request! 🙂

Thanks, guys. And good tip on the Media Browser. I haven’t tried it that way yet, always command-I.
