    Thank’s Brian.

I’m having a nightmare with one. The spline deformer twists the tail in all sorts of odd ways, and the IK stuff looks too angular.

I’ll check out Renato’s Spline deformner though.

    Thanks for the help!

Nobody has any ideas then : (

  • Thanks Adam,

I have been using polygon selections to restrict the are, but in all honesty it’s the intersectionss which cause the problem.

I’ll look at the shader idea as a way of distibuting the clones.

Thanks guys – truth is, I’ll proably just sack the AO, although I will look into baking the textures.

    Cheers!

Thanks for the suggestions – I think I’ll probably just render one file on this machine, one on that etc as I have a nasty deadline looming.

    Cheers.

Er, I just did, but turning the firewalls off on both Macs.

Now, how can I use NET render and keep my Firewall on?

Thanks very much for this folks – as is sod’s law, the client rejected my 3D idea and I have had to do it in AE in a different style.

However, it hasn’t been entirely wasted – I will try the method anyway as part of my ongoing mission to learn Xpresso.

    Thanks again!

    Brilliant!

Thanks very much for your help – it works a treat. I realise I could have done this using differing frame rates etc, but this seems much more elegant.

Sorry for my appalling spelling in my first post – this is why I do pictures : )

    Thanks again!

    Thanks Mylenium!

I’ve downloaded it but as I’m on my MacBook at the moment I’ll have to wait to try it as it doesn’t work with UB versions of R10.
