Use the 16×9 Presets and build your DVD as a 16×9 anamorphic DVD – if your DVD player is set up correctly it will automagically letterbox your program.

Dunno if I’d go that far! 🙂
We’re just squeezing the last we can from Cinewave – when we upgrade later this year I should think that’ll be the end of our G4’s and Cinewave.
The datestamp on the 4.7 installer is October 2004!

Could some of your stills be CMYK instead of RGB?
CMYK always makes my FCP timeline go funky…

[Shane Ross] “I think the HD Link from Decklink might have that in the software. I heard someone mention that, but I don’t know for sure.”
It does indeed have a blue-only option, accessed via the software interface. Also settings for custom lookup table values, and colour settings. I have one, so I can confirm it’s existence.

The BBC are currently using HDCAM only as a delivery format.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/guidelines/dq/pdf/tv/hd_summary_delivery_formats_v1_4.pdf
Acquisition is more relaxed, the BBC tend to take programes on a case by case basis. Good document here:

[zrb123] “DVCam tapes will not work in a HDV camera”
Sorry, but that just isn’t true. Small format DVCam tape works just fine. I have literally HUNDREDS of DVCam tapes with HDV footage recorded onto them. Not yet experienced any drop-out either.

June 11, 2007 at 9:19 am in reply to: Where is the logic: rightclick and choosing crossfade in timelineIf you hold down “alt” while right clicking it will only apply the crossfade to the video or audio, depending where you click.
So if you hold alt, right click on an audio track and apply the crossfade it will only affect the audio.
If you hold alt and right click on a video track it will only crossfade the video.

And in the UK too. (although I’m sitting here slaving over a hot edit suite, grumble, grumble…)
