Its not a vegas problem….Your computer screen is not
geared to give a true representation of what your video
will truly look like on a televison set…That is why you
have broadcast monitors to preview your projects while
editing…to see how it will really look on television or
as some editors do, just hook up a regular televison set thru
a firewire connection while they are editing….

Simply look to the left of the pan/crop window and you will
see 7 icons going down….just select/toggle the last one

Just make sure those images are not too high
a resolution (if they are, first downsize them
in an image editor).
Then you right click on each image in the vegas
timeline and select “reduce interlace flicker”
before rendering and also make sure that the rendering

To shorten or lengthen a transition, all you do is that when
the two video clips are overlapped and you add a transition
to that bit of overlapped area….then to shorten or lengthen
you simply shorten or lengthen the overlapped bit….Hope that
