Just certain things in the pc and software world is

But what you experienced seems to be a fault of BCC 7.

I have never had a good and comfortable experience
using Boris line of products. I like using and sticking
to tools that are rock solid.

Uninstall that codec pack you recently installed, clean up
the computer and restart….Now see if Vegas still crashes.

I never recommend installing any Codec pack.

I figured as much Mike….But the Vegas user-ship has always
been minimal compared to after effects (etc) for years, But
its increasing, why stop support now.

There is an easy feature in Vegasaur that handles that, it is
so loaded with the little things that makes editing in Vegas so
much more free-flowing. I’m not saying you have to buy this to
rename your markers…lol
I just Highly recommend it for all Vegas users.

Simply go to “General” in the preferences of Vegas and
select “Make spacebar and F12 play/pause instead of play/stop”

Not only that Mike, Magic bullet has now completely drop
support for Vegas with magic bullet looks, and when i contacted
them, they made it absolutely clear that they have no present
plans regarding Vegas, nor do they intend to support Vegas in
the future….Now, i had to wonder what this is all about.

Another way to get this is:
Simply put an extra video track above your project on
the timeline, Then you “insert” an “Empty event” and place
it on that timeline.
Now simply drop the “timecode” video fx on that empty event,
and change the “compositing mode” on that track to “subtract”.
You are now good to go.

GREAT….
From once you have that vegas project file, You are
good to go.
Just point vegas in the right direction and all should
fall into place.
For an easier handle, try make sure the files you re-import
are named as before (etc).

Firstly,
During your editing, did you save any Vegas file of your work?

If you had saved a Vegas project file, you could easily re-import the
footage to a hard drive and when you open the Vegas project file,
Vegas would tell you that the footage is missing…there you
simply direct it to find the file you just re-imported and all
should be well….
