A common problem I encounter – especially when editing from multiple sources – is that as I build an edit and place markers for important sections – I often end up placing new markers that are not sequentially ordered. Is there a script/command in Vegas that will re-number the markers? If not this would be a nice feature to add.

    1. Open the Edit Details view (Alt-6, or go to the View menu).

    2. Select “Show: Markers”.

    3. Click on the blank space that is at the intersection of the row and column headings (in the upper left corner of the Edit Details window, just under the word “Show:”. This will select everything

    4. Press Ctrl-X to Cut everything. Immediately press Ctrl-V to paste everything back.

There is an easy feature in Vegasaur that handles that, it is
so loaded with the little things that makes editing in Vegas so
much more free-flowing. I’m not saying you have to buy this to
    rename your markers…lol
I just Highly recommend it for all Vegas users.

And if you go the script route, Steve, Excalibur and Ultimate S have had this feature for YEARS (many, many years).

Copy and paste sounds good to me – the third party scripting/utilities extensions like Vegasaur or the production assistant Sony is offering is another topic I would like to learn more about – I have been using Vegas for years and have not yet invested in these. Thanks to all for your replies
