I have the same desire. During DG certification, I had a couple of problem areas and I would have liked to been able to see what they were seeing. I made a request to Telestream to develop a “player” for just this use. Maybe others will chime in.

I’m guessing it’s a hardware problem. We have 2 Multi’s (5.8 drivers) running on MacPros with 4 GB ram. Running BM card in slot 3, Seritek SATA controller in slot 4 and X1900 Video in slot 1. All outputs are active and working as expected.
Check the DeckLink control panel so that “Black Video Output to Deck in Capture” (or something like this as I am not in front of my edit machine so just trusting my feeble memory) is disabled. Weird quirk for this board drove me crazy ’til I figured it out.
I run into this a lot as we use uncompressed 10bit quite often and end up with little green artifacts and other miscellaneous stuff just there. Applying a matte choker works for us and adding a couple of pixels of blur helps clean up the edges.
