Hi Angus! you could try to clear the media cache from the Preferences menu, maybe corrupted cache files are causing the problem. I don’t know if you are working from mac but if you are using a MacBook Pro with the M2 Max chip, make sure your video drivers are up to date. Apple and Blackmagic often release updates that resolve compatibility issues and I once had a similar problem… update drive and it worked for me! However if none of this works for you, perhaps a more “rudimentary” solution, (depending on how you are editing) you could render the video in another project and in a different format, such as ProRes or DNxHR, and replace them in the timeline to see if that resolves the problem. I hope you find a solution!

    Steven.

hi there! another very simple solution is to take the material to another program such as premiere, imovie, etc., whichever works, to render it with the same characteristics and take it back to davinci, this solution has worked for me many times when the same thing happened to me, sometimes it just doesn’t make sense or it is a bug in the program itself.

October 3, 2023 at 1:00 pm in reply to: Save a text preset in DaVinci?

Hi there! what you have to do is set the text node to merge, leave it as you want it to appear by default, and then select everything but the out node, right click and select / macro / macro creation.

and there you will see a box with many features that you can add to your template, in this example you will have to go to the text node that you created earlier and from there select what you need. (there are many features available I recommend you take a look at youtube as it can be a bit overwhelming at first). and then when you save it restart davinci resolve and look for it in titles with the name you have given to your template, and then you will have it ready to use in any project independently.

if you have important projects it is better to save them before doing the reinstallation, you can use from usb, on the same pc, or even in the cloud.

And after installing davinci resolve you can recover everything, on youtube there are many tutorials that show you how to do it and it will be more understandable if you watch one than if I explain you the process in text. if you don’t understand something in the tutorial you can ask me and I will be happy to help you.

hello Lillian! you need to import the alpha that you have obtained from mocha pro, you can do it automatically with the same plugins that in this case did not work for you, or import that alpha manually and take it to fusion then create an alpha entry coming from fusion but in the color module and there you would have the possibility to apply that effect only to the tracked part in mocha pro.

June 11, 2023 at 6:08 pm in reply to: How to this?

Hi! unfortunately it does require some editing, you could do it in fusion perfectly, using masks and rotoscoping if necessary, that will depend on the type of video in which you are going to project the three videos at once, if the camera does not move and is on a tripod will make it much easier, also if no person passes in front of where you are going to project the videos, it is a simple integration, another solution would be to have a custom template for davinci, but it will depend on your needs because if the background image is going to change or it would also be a video this would not work and you would have to retouch everything every time you want to use it, let me know if you have any questions about it! I will be happy to help you.

Hi friend! you can copy with (control + c) and then go to the image that you want to pass all that information and right click on the image and then pass all the information with (alt + v) or where it says paste attributes, it will show a box where you can tell it what you want to pass and there you can select according to your needs.
