Hi Ricardo, thanks for the advice, it seems that it was indeed a bug, I went back to redo everything in a new composition and everything has worked fine, I could do what you said, it is also a good solution but in this particular case would not serve me … thanks for the info bro!

  • Hi rosana a solution to that would be to extend a little the second video clip, and convert it into a composite clip to which you then add that transition, so that what is played in the middle of the transition is irrelevant, let me know if you have understood correctly or if you have any doubts about how to do that.

-the part of the second video clip you can extend it in several ways, one of them would be, freeze the first frame extend it as much as you need, and then join that frozen frame with the real beginning of the video clip in a composite clip to which you will then add that transition effect together with the other video.

to enter that setting you should click on project settings, which is right in the lower right corner of the screen. but if you have it by default and you have not touched anything, no need to go there because it will be correct, I recommend that you do the srgb change the image from davinci or as Ricardo has said, you can also do it through photoshop both options would solve the problem of color conversion in davinci.

you can display the configuration in color management, as shown in the picture. Another possibility is that instead of setting it to rec.709, set it to “sRGB”, I mean the previous solution, try with that color space.

    Hi Jean!

it is likely that the gamma output is not set to rec 709,

try to put in the color module a “color space transform” node and where it says output gamma, set it to Rec.709. let me know if that solves the problem if not try to set also the output color space in Rec 709.

I would also like to know in which color space you have the Input color, as that also influences the output color of the material.

  • Hi Tim!

I agree with Ricardo an RTX 4070 or 3080 are very powerful and some of the best on the market for that budget. However, before buying a new graphics card, make sure your power supply has enough capacity and is also compatible with your system.

Another option would be to reduce the GPU workload and move more workload to the CPU. Davinci has the option to enable CPU performance for processing effects and color processes, which can help reduce the GPU load. To do this, go to Davinci’s preferences, then to “System Settings” and select “Performance”. There, you can enable the option “Use CPU for processing effects and color processes”

    Steven.

I’m glad you were able to solve the problem! indeed, sometimes in fusion these things happen that just do not make sense and the solution is usually the simplest, delete and re-remove a new node, at least it usually works for me when things do not work and you have everything well connected.

of course! well that can be a cause of the error with the composition, what exactly happens that does not let you complete the track? try to try another tutorial that explains the same thing, in fusion you can do a job in different paths and methods, sometimes some work better than others, it’s a matter of trying and stay with the one that works best.

Hi Pedro! to create a video with alpha channel in DaVinci Resolve and then import it into Adobe Premiere make sure you have the “Export with alpha channel” option selected in the export settings. Try using different codec settings and export settings if you keep encountering errors in Premiere.

DaVinci Resolve does not support direct export of MP4 files with alpha channel. However, you can export a MOV file with alpha channel from Resolve and then use other video conversion software to convert it to MP4 with alpha channel. There are several video conversion tools available online that allow you to export MP4 files with alpha channel, such as “Adobe Media Encoder” or “FFmpeg”.

I can see that it is something very simple, what is the purpose of the tracking? do you want to stabilize, transfer the tracking information to an image? because it is likely that the problem is that you are not adding anything in the green arrow of the track node and that is the cause of the error
