Yes. The HDV drivers for the Sony are in SP2.
But then you may need to upgrade to the latest MainCOncept and Microsoft patches for SP2.

What makes you think that Adobe doesn’t have a large collection of testers and advisors from within this and other communities?
I believe that a magazine that beats others to the punch because the rest made a promise they intended to keep is just wrong.

Try exporting the portions that are not working for you into a new AVI and use it to overwrite the original material. Especially the countdown which is synthetic material. Turn it into a standard AVI and it may help quite a bit.

I imagine you might want to ask the people on the Cineform web site.
I am under the impression that the Cineform codec is for HD or HDV, not DV projects. But they might know how to accomplish what you are asking for.
But why would you want to use that codec?

Glad to help. The problem with many application’s help files is that you have to know the correct words just to look up how to make it work. If you don’t know the right words, it is really tough. That is why we help each other out.

Actually, it is not a UK magazine. The one I mean is not in English which always causes a rush of half baked translations.
The point you make could be valid. I just never gave it much thought. The fact is that Adobe doesn’t announce anything until it is being printed to the media, or so it seems. Usually about 30 days in advance and no more. They made a mistake announcing Premiere Pro 1.5.1 and it cost them some credibility.

As I recall, using WinXP was the reason that Adobe provided a free upgrade from 6.0 to 6.02
