I’ve just finished a project using 6.5. The video is about 30 minutes long. I exported to movie for Encore 1.0. I’m new to using the programs but think I had everything set correctly. So let me explain the problem.

The video in premiere has several standard cross fade transactions. Most are working fine on the DVD except for a few. One of them is from a color matte I used as a white video instead of black. Another is I razored a single frame out of the video and desaturated it in photoshop and brought it back as a tga file still. Basiclly it was a freeze frame that turned black and white to give it drama.

Also in the video I did some interviews. Kind of blooper interviews. I used the bars and tone to seperate each interview. I roll edited them down so they weren’t so long. In the DVD they don’t show and freezed the next segment of video.

All work fine in premiere but not after transcoding in Encore. I don’t know if this is a premiere problem or encore. Also the DVD did not finish the section of video before it froze.

I’m also posting this in the Encore forum hoping for some help. I have to have this done by Saturday and I’m going nuts. Thanks for any suggestions.

Try exporting the portions that are not working for you into a new AVI and use it to overwrite the original material. Especially the countdown which is synthetic material. Turn it into a standard AVI and it may help quite a bit.
