I upgraded my laptop from windows 98 to xp and now have a problem with capture. My source is a Sony 300A camera feeding through firewire into my PCMCIA card to my IBM thinkpad pentium 3 900MHz 384MB of RAM. I am able to remote the camera, play the tape, hear solid audio, but only have a still frame of video that flickers. I am able to play and remote fine through windows media player so my conclusion is that it is something to do with Premiere. It worked before with my old laptop. Does anyone have a solution?

    Did you upgrade to 6.02?

No…however I did uninstall and install version 6 with no change.

As I recall, using WinXP was the reason that Adobe provided a free upgrade from 6.0 to 6.02
