    Believe it or not, DV/SD will be around for a long time and will be viewable for many years to come. Just keep your original MiniDV tapes. They will playback on any consumer camcorder. You will be able to connect it to ANY HD or SD Television now and in the future.

    Have you read your manual? QT Pro is automatically installed with FCP 5. Go read the manual and/or do a quick search on exporting MPEG 2 from FCP. There are a couples of ways to do it.

    Hopefully, Focus Enhancements can make there promise for their FS-100 at NAB. That will force the P2 cards to both improve their capacities and reduction in price.

    This deck will not playback or record DVCPro. It will playback DVCAM. This deck only supports 720P HDV.

    Besides getting your levels correct, you need to make sure the audio input settings on your DSR-45 are correct. You have 3 input levels, +4db, -2db and -10db.
