You will get by with any LCD/DLP video Projector with at least 2000 Lumens. Sanyo, Panasonic, Optoma, In-Focus and Sony are great brands.

I have a Sanyo PLC-SU30 (discontinued) mounted for my home theater and a Panasonic PT-LB10 for portability.

HD looks incredible on both.

No you can not. You can apply the Same transition to multiple edits.

Your workflow should be, export quicktime movie (ref file). Drag and drop that file into compreesor and choose your settings.

If you are doing start and stop recording, keep in mind the Firestore unit has a retro cache record feature. You can customize it with the Pro unit. This is extra time will be on your drives and not on your tape. Syncing could be a problem with the retro cache on.

What’s a PowerBook? MacBook Pro! All kidding aside, I use both Dual 2.5 G5 and 1.25 PB. For what you want to do, I would recomend the G5. The PB and/or MacBook Pro is a great investment for portability. I would like to see great improvements with the MacBook Pro. Only time will tell how it will perform with FCP Suite.

Check out the Apple PB and G5 refurbs at the store. You can get a really good deal.

Try opening a different project. Most likely it is a corrupt media file in the project you are opening.

It is only complicated if you make it complicated. Choose one format to edit. Add your film filters, if you desire, at the very end. Check out Digital Film Tools Plug-ins, 55mm, Digital Film Lab, Composite Suite and ZMatte.
