STUPID QUESTION- Is it Safe To Bring Mini DV tape
Posted by Please_do_not_use_all_caps_for_your_name_or_when_posting on January 16, 2006 at 5:03 pmThrough the security xray machines at the airport. I have to carry a film on board a plane and am wondering if the xrays will ruin the tape media.

January 16, 2006 at 5:57 pmX-Rays are fine, the new problem is the magnetic resonance machines installed at some airports. They are
generally being used for checked baggage, not carry-on. They use magnetic imaging, which could definitely
play havoc with magnetic tape.
