I go to the “Our Courses” section https://www.fxphd.com/fxphd/courseInfo.php#GRD201 and don’t see a DaVinci class? Or is this more like a attending class type of thing.

I have never used DaVinci Resolve and I think it looks great. I like that version 9 can work with RAW files. I guess I should wait for July when they release 9 before I sink my teeth in it any ways since I want to work with RAW Sony files. Or am I wrong and the current version works with RAW sony files?

To import P2 footage do the following:
Go to the Media Browser, hit the “~” if you want to make it fit the screen, find the folder that you placed the P2 footage in and then click on it. You will see all of the clip. Select the ones you want and then right click on them and choose import. If you just right click and choose import in the Project window you get gibberish. Hope this is the info you are looking for. A is the Track Select Tool. Hold down Shift and then it will select all tracks. Just like with the Blade tool. You can’t hit bb to get a double blade. YOu have to hit C and hold down shift. Hope this helps and best of luck.

I agree with Mark. Also, I hate Demo Reels with a bug (Your Name in phone number) in the bottom corner. As for how important is a degree? Coming from a guy with a Bachelors Degree. I would do an internship. You will gain a lot of real world experience and the place you internship for might even hire you or hook you up with some contacts. Plus you can get some non-VHS stuff on your reel. Hope this helps and best of luck.

Does your clip in Final Cut need to be rendered? Is there any color above it. Chances are it is light green and once you render it it will be sharp. Did you set it to best when you exported it out? Hope this helps and best of luck.
