I think the best way to keep info-graphics less confusing is to break it up into section anytime you can. For example, the TV Show Open I did was broken up into a few different Motion projects and then strung together in FCP. This kept Motion from bogging down and keep the project easier to work with.

For SD this is what I like:
I cut the video in HD. (I feel FCP7 does a bad job of converting HD to SD in the timeline) When I’m done I go to File, Export, QuickTime movie. Make sure “Make Movie Self-Contained” if you want the full movie not just a reference file. It will export your movie out in its current settings. Bring movie into compressor. Add the “DVD: Best Quality 90 minutes” setting and compress it. Then bring the mpeg files into DVD studio Pro. Under the General Tab make sure the Display mode is set to “16:9 Letterbox”. If it plays on a 16×9 TV it will feel the screen. If it plays on a 4:3 TV it will letter box the video.

Just double click on the Font. It will open up Font Book and all you have to do is click on the “Install Font” button.

You have two options.
-Photoshop lines: You use the bezier tool and trace the Photoshop lines. Add the write on tool to the bezier line and turn your white bezier line into an image mask to reveal the photoshop line below it. If you haven’t used a image mask check out this Hologram tutorial that covers image masks half way in.
-Without Photoshop: Use the bezier or B-spline tool and make your lines. To change the lines thickness go to the Shape tab. Make it an Outline and change the brush type to Airbrush. Change the Spacing to 1. Go to Stroke. click on the “Width over Stroke” discloser triangle. Move the key frames up or down to increase or decrease the width of the stroke at that part of the stroke.

It is checked by default to maintain real time playback. Depending on the file and how far you zoom in it can really make Motion chug big time. So I build everything and then uncheck the fixed resolution when I’m ready to export.
