Text becomes boxes when using template in FCP
HI there,
I have created a lower third template in Motion 4, but when I try and use the template in FCP, the text is just boxes, not letters-one box per letter I think). I have checked and the font is installed on the system, so I don’t think that is the problem.
What can I do?

Make sure the font is installed at the Computer level, not just the User level in Fontbook. Also check to see if it’s corrupted – you can validate your fonts in FontBook as well.

The font isn’t installed in the computer iteself, but I cannnot seem to get it to install there-only to the user level..?thanks

Did you try simply dragging it to the word Computer in FontBook?

It won’t let me for some reason-all my permissions are open..

Just double click on the Font. It will open up Font Book and all you have to do is click on the “Install Font” button.
