This is what I would do:
File, Export, Quicktime Movie. Make sure setting is set to “Current Settings” and that the Make Movie-Self-Contained check box is checked. It will export out a movie in your project settings settings so when you bring it back in it will be the same as you have already been working with.

Honestly I think you got ripped off. I would see if you can get you money back. All that video was, was a still photo of a hand holding a card and a Camera move inside a program like AE or Motion.
If it was me, I would purchase a stock photos such as this one: https://www.istockphoto.com/stock-photo-19029298-hand-holding-a-blank-business-card.php?st=af108d5
and then add my logo to the card and photoshop out the white background if you wanted a different background. Then place it in AE or Motion and add a camera or just animate the photo so it looks like we are zooming in on the card. You could even do this in FCP7 except that program doesn’t ease into the end of the “Zoom” very well. Hope this helps and best of luck.Stephen Smith

You can create another Motion Project so you have the new project and the old one open at the same time. Just select what you like from the old project and drag it over to the new project and you are ready to go. Hope this helps and best of luck.

Did you export out the Animation clip from Motion because you needed the Alpha channel? If not re-export out as Pro-Res 422 (HQ).
If you need the Alpha Channel maybe try a Pro-Ress 4444 set to millions of colors +.

I create a new folder and name it. Then drag everything from the camera to that folder. Certain cameras like the T2i create a DCIM folder. Keep every thing as the camera has it. Then instal the plug-in from Cannon. Open up the Log and Transfer window and you are ready to go.

1440×1080 is 1920 x 1080. When a 1440 x 1080 clip comes into an editing application it stretches the image to 1920 x 1080. It is the same idea behind anamorphic. When you shot a 4:3 image it looked stretched. When you bring it into FCP and check Anamorphic it would squash it down to 16:9. Hope this “in a nutshell” answer helps and best of luck.

Cannon has a plug-in so you can log and transfer in FCP. It works great and will make editing smooth and easy for you again. Check out this tutorial from Shane Ross: https://library.creativecow.net/ross_shane/tapeless-workflow_fcp-7/1
