Mike, while I appreciate the freebies and some of the low-cost products from Vaast, the byzantine process of creating an account, adding to the cart, then finally getting to the downloads makes it pretty difficult to use the site. Even though I already have a Vaast account, the process was still burdensome.
When I finally got to the download page for Notes (which Download button do I click?), the file that downloaded was VASST_DVDPrepInstaller-1.5.0.
Not notes.
Why does “free” have to be so darned difficult?

From what Version? What O/S?
It shouldn’t matter, but a large negative number for an error number often says you have encountered a 64-bit instruction in a 32-bit environment.

Can you get a Thunderbolt port on a PC? The only ones I’ve seen are PCI cards and PCI is slower than Thunderbolt.

I am also disappointed that Veggie Toolkit won’t be supported in V13, but take a look at Vegasaur and Vegas Timeline Tools to see if they would help.

Generally, yes. Can’t Avid export MPEG and AC3 files? At least the MPEG file – no audio. I’ll let DVDA recompress title menus and the audio, but never the main program.

If you are letting DVDA encode or recompress your video, then you are starting out compromised. If you deliver DVDA compliant MPEG and AC3 files to DVDA, then no recompression will be needed and both DVD and DVDA Studio will produce identical results.

Dynamic RAM is only used when doing a Shift-B preview. Also, GPU has nothing to do with audio.
