I had the same problem. I am usually running the Mozilla browser, but when the ordering page wouldn’t take my upgrade info, I tried using MS IE. It worked.

Dunno. I’ve never used bins. I just manage my clips in windows folders with Explorer.

I just solo the two new tracks (Video and Audio).

It’s really simple – just render the troublesome region to a new track. Since it’s on top, and 100% opacity, everything on the tracks below will be ignored. I don’t even bother with rendering regions, I just render the whole project to a new track, then do my PTT.

Does it have to be an XL1? Look on Ebay for any old VHS camcorder. Would the audience really know the difference?

Your suggestions pointed me into the right direction. I knew it had to be something simple. I discovered a Windows control that I hadn’t ever seen before: “Recording Control”. All I had to do was select “Line In” and I was good to go.
Damn, that noise floor is high, about -50 dBm. Since today’s project is for my daughter’s science fair project, I won’t worry about it, but it’s definitely time to look at a better input device.
That’s another thread, however.
