I have a problem with printing to tape and it’s just a couple of events. On a previous post regarding this, Steve Mann mentioned one cause might be fx filters and they are on the events that falter when being outed to tape. Steve, or anyone else, you mention rendering these section out to another track. I’m confused by this. Do I render out the loop section to an avi and then bring it back into the project on another track? Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Note: When I render the sections out to avi file and bring into a new project and print to tape they record fine. I have prerendered the original movie and really didn’t want to render as the whole movie (40 plus min.) to another huge file.

It’s really simple – just render the troublesome region to a new track. Since it’s on top, and 100% opacity, everything on the tracks below will be ignored. I don’t even bother with rendering regions, I just render the whole project to a new track, then do my PTT.

Don’t forget to delete the extra audio that adds!

Thanks for reponding. I had trouble posting or would have replied later. I just rendered out the entire thing to a new track and it printed to tape fine. Only thing is I really didn’t want another large avi file. Anyway, I have a good master tape. Thanks again guys. How do you think I’ll like going from 4 to 6 plus dva3? Should be delivered this Friday.
