You can increase your preview RAM. While it won’t make any difference on one pass, if you loop the region, the preview will use the preview RAM and each loop gets better.

If you click ON an event, the playhead doesn’t change, just the cursor. If you click anywhere outside of an event, then the playhead and cursor jump to that location.

It’s called a Playhead (using the tape paradigm). When the playhead gets caught in a region, it means that you moved the mouse slightly, creating a loop region.

You can’t render “clips” from Vegas because there are no clips on the timeline, only events. Double click the event to select it as a region, then in the Render As window, select “Render Loop Region Only”.

You can’t cut clips on the timeline because there are no clips on the timeline – only events.
If you accidentally hit CAPS LOCK, then the “S” key won’t split events.Steve Mann

Wherever you saved it.
Open the project in Vegas and click on “Render As”. At the top of the “Render As” window will be the path last used to save your rendered project. Then hit “Cancel”.

To expand on Steve’s first reply – ALL re-compression degrades quality regardless of which NLE you use. But as John pointed out, a few recompressions won’t be noticeable by the average user.

But note – the end action transition from one video title to the next will not always be seamless. Some player read ahead, but most don’t, so there will be a slight pause between titles.
