I keep wishing there were a way to leave post it notes inside a vegas pro 12 timeline.

I work on a project and would love to be able to say, this part is synced. or check the popping over here.

Right now I have just been using markers with that kind of information on it, but some of my markers names are getting long.

Is there any way natively, or with add ins, to do this kind of thing?

What you want is possible with extension programming. I do not know if VASST, Excalibur, or Vegasaur have this or not but I have programmed the ability to keep notes on each event. With Vegas extensions pretty much any kind of basic information programming (databases, notes, project archiving (although I guess Vegas 13 has added something in this area)) can be done.

How exactly would you want your notes to work? Right here thinking about it I can envision a way to have notes pop up when an event is selected. The way I designed it for myself is less intrusive but may not be immediate enough for most users.

Notepad from VASST (it’s free) should do what you want.

Mike, while I appreciate the freebies and some of the low-cost products from Vaast, the byzantine process of creating an account, adding to the cart, then finally getting to the downloads makes it pretty difficult to use the site. Even though I already have a Vaast account, the process was still burdensome.

When I finally got to the download page for Notes (which Download button do I click?), the file that downloaded was VASST_DVDPrepInstaller-1.5.0.

    Not notes.

Why does “free” have to be so darned difficult?

Steve, the link was messed up so I edited my post so that it takes you to the download page for everything. Scroll down to Notepad (near the bottom) and click the Download link on the far right. No registration required.
