Unfortunately you’re not going to get a good effect by trying to change the “lighting” colours – those layers are really just there for brightening and darkening the highlights and shadows and won’t look good in color. But you might be able to make it work!
Hopefully my new version gives you enough control that you can get the color you want … I think you need to be able to control the image color and the edges of the badge separately which is why I gave you the controls I did.
If you want to post your video, look for the video upload icon at the top of the message input panel – it’s the second along from the right.

Nice idea – will be very useful.
Here’s something similar I was playing with:
Two related effects for shaping the lighting of an image, one for darkening the edges and the other for lighting up a “spotlit” area, with options for blur and glow.

Here’s a new version of the effect with options for giving the badge a color – you might want also to play with the image tint amount to get the look you’re going for.

Here’s a new version with a much lower default setting and an option for pushing through the highlights which ought to be useful for this effect.
Note that it is always going to be quite a heavy effect to process but I think the results are worth it if you are looking for a more genuine lens blur effect than you can achieve by other means.

They still do – Shake continues to work for me day in day out, despite being EOL. One of the best programs ever written for anything – until Apple got their dead hands on it 🙁

Good idea. Just a shame that the Motion Lens Flare is not really a lens flare in any real sense of the term and there are no optical components, fine for a static lens flare, jnot fine at all when you try to move it 🙁
We’ll still need to buy decent third party plug-ins (Knoll Light Factory, etc.) for anything serious …
