    Hi,

1-Precompose your lawn layer, assign it as a layer map.
2-Create a plane in Invigorator and use your layer map as a texture.
3-Assign your plane to a different set to animate both the ball & plane individualy.

This way you would have a perfect interaction of both objects (Shadows, camera etc…)

    Salut.

May 27, 2006 at 5:34 pm in reply to: Importing C4D Models

    Hi Dante,

Here is what the FAQ at the Zaxwerks site says:

“C4D – The Invigorator reads and writes version 5 format which is exported by the GO! version of Cinema 4D.”

I use Maya but when I have to work on C4D I always export to (Wavefront 0bj) using the free plug-in named
“UV Mapper” https://www.uvmapper.com. I also use this plug-in to generate a new UV map, save it and import it into PS or AE to paint it before applying it to my object.

If I am not wrong, C4D 9 also exports to 3DS, what should work.

    I hope this may help.

    Salut.
    Serge

    Hi Joe,

I had a look at your file. The problem is that the back side object has not the same height value then the engraved object. So, go back to illustrator and use the transform menu to alter the value and match your engraved object.

    Does this help?

    Salut.

    Hi Tod,

Trash AE’s prefs file. If you have some custom settings they will be gone though.

    Salut.

    Hi Raystar,

Many people like to learn from projects. That’s why I created “InvigoMany”.

In addition to the slite you could also download a couple of other Invigorator projects at https://www.nyc-visual.com

    Have fun.

    Hi Joe,

Could you please show us your object? You could send me a pic or the aep without any media file if you don’t have a server.

I could get back to you about hour.

    Salut.

May 22, 2006 at 5:54 am in reply to: Installing FX

    Hi,

I recently had a client investing in the Cycore plug-ins (FX HD) not because he needed to work in (16- bit) but rather that none of his animators installed the Cycore plugs that came with AE!

His face you should have seen when I was done explaining. To make him happy I told him that he acquired two extra plug-ins with the new set. Before you ask, the answer is NO! He would not have understood the difference between 8 and 16 bit.

    Salut.

May 22, 2006 at 4:30 am in reply to: 3D animation takes a long long time?

    Hi Mark,

Sorry but no can do. You are using all the necessary attributes for a slow render. (3D layers, DOF, Light, Large footage…)
If you had a dual system, I would have recommended “Nucleo”. If you have one or several systems available, you could try network rendering.
