    Hi Dave,

I think that Invigorator tried unsuccessfully to alter your prefs file after you edited some new values in the user prefs menu.

I would suggest you to have your serial # at hand, delete the prefs file and restart AE.

    I hope this may help.

    Salut.

  • Salut Mylenium,

Funny! I recently was telling Mylenium that he belongs in my eyes to the AE Co-leaders. Here we go!

    Welcome on board.

    Salut.

    Hey,

I am not familiar with particular but from what I have seen, it also uses the AE camera. Therefore, there is no need to create the plane in Invigorator as I previously suggested as both plug-ins can share the ae camera without any conflict.

To get the ball look as it is partly in the grass, all you need to do once you are done with your camera animation is to duplicate your Particular layer, precomp it, copy your animated camera and paste it inside of your precomp. This step will ensure that your duplicate would be sync.

Now, move the precomp in your timeline so you sandwich your ball with grass and draw a feathered mask on the precomp to eliminate the grass from the top part of your ball and animate this mask to follow the ball.

    Salut.

    Hey Justin,

The grass would always be flat in AE. The most important is to avoid a frontal camera perspective. Best would be a top view.

Here is an example that goes in between:

I didn’t care about creating a good-looking grass or animation so bear with me.

    Salut.
