Importing File cause AE to crash
Posted by Toddles on May 23, 2006 at 4:45 amHi all,
As soons as I go to import a file AE automatically crashes. This is only just started and I’ve never experienced it before. Any ideas would be much appreciated.
Regards

May 23, 2006 at 4:03 pmhappens to me too when i import image sequences of ~1000 files.
however ae isn’t exactly “crashing”, i’d say. it’s not like you get an error message or anything. the whole process just disappears from one moment to the other. i find this a little amusing considering the minutes it can take to properly shut ae down when you’ve worked for quite a while.usually, the problem occurs to me the moment i want to rename the image sequence (ae7pro here). sometimes just moving the mouse inside the project window is enough though.

May 23, 2006 at 10:29 pmOk, sorry, I should have explained this a little better.
It happens as soon as i click on ‘Import File’. There is no warning message at all, AE just completely closes itself

Trash AE’s prefs file. If you have some custom settings they will be gone though.
Salut.
