    Hey Dotan,

This is possible to create with Invigorator. I would use a Custom edge for the handle. The rest can be shaped in Illustrator.
I will have soon an hour break. I will see what I can come up with.

Check the tutorial about creating custom edges that came with your InvigoMany CD.

    Salut.

Yes, it’s possible. Using a custom edge may not necessary but would help.

Post a couple of links for us to see what you are after and we will let you know if it’s doable.

    Salut.

    Hi,

First, I would use the basic flat side outside edge. In case this still doesn’t work, I would then create a plane, map it with the same movie and use an animated transparency layer map (Black to white).
The animation should only take a couple of frames to reveal the movie. Also, use the Absolute Color feature to map both the puzzle and plane. This should work if your puzzle animation is ending frontal.

Let us know if this works.

    Hi,

What’s very important is to keep the proper aspect ratio for your comps to match those of your objects.
Click on each puzzle part in Illustrator and read in the “Transform” window the size of your object. Then you can translate the values to create your comps.

If you get stuck let me know what aspect ratio your movie has and send me the puzzle ai file for a mini tutorial.

    Hi,

This might be done if you are using Invigorator Pro 4.0.X as it has the ability to track ae 3D layers.

Send me your project (Without the media files) if you get stuck at “serge_01at msn dot com”

February 1, 2007 at 10:09 pm in reply to: How to make the backside of a layer a solid color??

    Hi,

A third way would be to split your layer when it reaches a 90 degrees rotation then add the fill effect to the splited part.

January 19, 2007 at 2:01 am in reply to: True 3d Sphere

    Hi,

    Try this:

    Create a 3D Null Object.

Create a camera and parent it to the null.

Create a solid or use whatever you want to create your sphere.

Switch your sphere layer to 3D and set its auto orientation to Orient Towards Camera.

Now tie the x,y,z rotation parameters of CC Sphere to the x,y,z rotation of the null object.

I can’t check it as I am not in front of AE but it should work.

    Salut.

January 19, 2007 at 1:16 am in reply to: Texture map question

    Hi,

First, your texture map must have the same aspect ratio then your object.
Second, create your map at the maximal resolution.

For example if your object aspect ratio is 2:1, create a map that is 4000 x 2000.
Keep in mind that the maximal resolution a map can have in order to work with Invigorator is 4000 x 4000.

    Salut.
