    How…In after Effects….Can I make a true 3d sphere….that i can rotate around?
I tried CC Sphere…and it makes the image into a sphere….but….i can’t rotate around it with the camera…….

Is there anything our there to do such a thing?

    Hi
[GnA Productions] “I tried CC Sphere…and it makes the image into a sphere….but….i can’t rotate around it with the camera…….”

it actually works with some coding.Have a look at this sample project from AAron Cobb.

    Hi,

    Try this:

    Create a 3D Null Object.

Create a camera and parent it to the null.

Create a solid or use whatever you want to create your sphere.

Switch your sphere layer to 3D and set its auto orientation to Orient Towards Camera.

Now tie the x,y,z rotation parameters of CC Sphere to the x,y,z rotation of the null object.

I can’t check it as I am not in front of AE but it should work.

    Salut.
    Serge
