February 13, 2008 at 3:24 pm in reply to: Tiff Seq into Animation QT = artifacts – please Help!Originally the AE designer DID give me an animation QT out of AE and the artifacting was in the shot – so then i asked him to just give me a tiff sequence and it was not in those frames – so when checking add all key frames the problem dissappeared.
Not sure what this is about but i have never had to use the key frames option in qt pro – anywho it seems to be resolved i just want to know now what this might have been.
thank you everyone for taking the time to reply

Hey thanks for the reply
I am still not sure what type of project it should be – i know that in sequence setting the compressor should be set to photo jpeg but what type of other setting adjustments should be made – i.e. frame size. AND more importantly what type of project should it be (DV, DVCPRO, etc…) I have also never cut something at PAL so i will have to i guess find out exactly how the client wants to get the final edit but for now i am under the impression that they want it back the same way they gave as I mention in my original post.
I know this is kind of a stupid question but i have never used this format of footage so i figured I would ask the experts and one else have advice?
thank you

December 19, 2007 at 8:11 pm in reply to: Problems importing animation quicktimes – file error unknown fileTo answer the questions asked – yes it does play in quicktime and the quicktimes were made in FCP and Avid – but for some reason they will not import into FCP – which is running btw the most up to date version of studio 2.
I cant figure out what it could be because I feel like i have always been able to import animation qt’s into fcp
anyone have advice

Hey Wlater thanks for replying to my post – its funny on the camera I swear that it said 60i not p but its my first time using this P2 camera and these formats.
I do not have access to the equipment you mention but I do have Compressor as part of final cut studio 2 – not sure if that will help me in anyway but the majority of my footage is 720p60 – everything else is minimal but important enough to use in the project.
If there are other thoughts and ideas out there from people please feel free to drop some knowledge on the youngin’
thanks again
