I don’t think there is an easy was to do this. You could format a piece of text then add the correct text (maybe by copy and pasting from somewhere you’ve already typed it) each time and reedit it into the sequence… but I don’t think there’s an easy and quick was like pasting attributes.

To get a true filmlook just chaning the frame rate won’t really do it. If you google Final Cut Pro film look you can find many articles and plug-ins on the subject.

I’ve been using a 30 for about 6 months now. I was going to go with 2 20s but got a refurbished from Apple instead. I love it. I have tons of different window arrangements saved and it works very well. The cable is maybe 6 feet? Can’t measure exactly as it’s buried. i hope to get a Matrox MXO to hook to the other DVI port that is empty now and get use out of it. My only problem with the 30 is it put out quite a bit of heat! That’s a lot of surface area.

I often use the export > QT conversion > MPEG-4. And I’m sure you’re aware that PC users can download Quicktime for Windows for free on Apple’s web site.

Sure. If you go to File > Import > EDL and the choose from the pop up Import for reconnect, and the do a reconnect of the media once it makes a new sequence it should be fine. You may have to point FCP to the correct quicktime clips as it will look for the names of the clips. FCP does not use the same kind of media management as Avid. You may get a warning saying certain attributes have changed. I would do a test and see what happens. I have done this with a moderate amount of success.

I was forced to upgrade to 10.4.6 last week when I updated FCP to 5.1. I have 1 G-RAID and I am happy to report that so far so good… no issues.

    Thanks ScottieB.

The muxing errors do arrive in DVDSP. But it is only on the material encoded by Compression Master. As for BitVice, I was surprised that the quality wasn’t near what Compressor did. It was the trial version but I expected better results. I must be doing something wrong.

It seems no one uses Compression Master as I haven’t gotten a response on ANY board about it.
