Does Gearshift work with Vegas Pro 10? It is not listed on the VAAST website, just through version 9. Also, if one uses proxies and then uses a stabilization program such as Mercalli 2 or NewblueFX, will the end result be good when using the original files to render?

Thanks Alex, I was aware of that, but I have been fooled before!! I know the BM products are cutting edge and sometimes can be very stick about certain things. In this case I was concern about the 10Gbps vs 4.8 Gbps between HDMI 1.2 and 1.3…here is hoping!

I think it’s demise is not gonna happen, especially with working in conjunction with AMD, Boris, NewBlueFX, and Prodad….there are more than just Magic Bullets…Just my 2 cents.

I often use two or three different camera types in my shoots, I use 3 FX1’s two HC1’s and sometimes another. I have built profiles for my HC1’s to match the FX1. I ALWAYS white balance and have had good results (except trying to match an FX7 in there, I eventually got rid of that because of color correcting issues). I have found with CCD and CMOS sensors I usually have to adjust the reds, CMOS in my experience tends to have the reds a little more magenta. I use secondary color corrector to adjust the hue and a touch of saturation and I am good to go…..good luck!

I add the vegas “sharpen” FX on the master output set to “light” it helps to keep some of the sharpness (duh) that is lost in the HD-DVD quality conversion..just an idea if you want to try it. I do it on all my DVD’s. I shoot in HDV, edit and then deliver in DVD…

I do have to say, the footage captured from some of these DSLR’s is REALLY amazing looking…as far as the files they create, it is a pain in the butt. I have 5 HD camcorders that I use, but looking at a T2i as well, the footage is just awesome..
