Could you explain why it would not benefit? The Avid manual talks about a converter like it.

“The Mojo will handle this for you.” Excuse my IT ignorance, but I don’t understand. I have a Mojo and a firewire camera and I still cannot do batch capture or digital cut. From research, you cannot perform these via firewire. Can you tell me what I need to get these features working? The deck I am interested in buying is the JVC BR-DV3000U.

if you are using PAL then you have to render upper fields. Don’t know if it will fix the problem though, I have never worked in PAL.

the QT “animation” codec gives you the option of exporting with an alpha channel.

You need firewire drives or faster. Your video is dropping frames because your harddrives are too slow to keep up with the data rate coming in. You need a drive with high data transfer rates like firewire that have 400 to 800.

looks like your system is too slow. very low video memory. are you capturing to firewire drives?

there is also a program called media mover. it’s pretty cheap too.
