I second that.
We just went from quad core to dual quad and the RED performance increased by 10% 🙂
The rocket on the other hand does magic.
But only when you press play, scrubbing is actually slower than using software debayer. -
The last one from the vault is pretty old and covers more the workflow of being a colorist than actually teaching Resolve in depth.

Assimilate Scratch has a very well running mailing list for users, monitored by the staff and long term users.
Its always resourceful and I am also contributing multiple times a day.
They also have a more closed beta forum to discuss problems and experiences with undocumented and new features.
Nothing against this cow, but I do not have the feeling this is the place for real technical workflows, honest talk about solutions, workarounds and words from the programmers.
So yes, I support the request for a more direct form of communication if that is also what BM wants to provide for us. -
One question :
Did you ask for an offline with timecoe embedded to check if the off frames are actually an Resolve problem or just a badly adjusted tape recorder ?
If you do, can you check the timecode in the EDL against the offline ?
Did you try to assemble the thing in FCP , Color or something proper like Smoke or Scratch ?

Which is what you should do for film work anyway.
At least I am used to that workflow for the print out.
Film Reels are not longer than than too.
Keeps a tidy timeline too. -

Hi guys,
I came around a bit the last couple of weeks and i found FOUR broken Tangent Wave panels.
They seem to work but the encoders cant handle speed dialing.
Please disconnect your Wave, reconnect and try in in test mode.
When you turn a knob, its values should go up to 20 or more.
If it only updates slowly, doesnt go higher that 8 or something like that you have a faulty panel too.
People just sent theirs back to the dealer or Tangent directly and got a new one.
Also make sure you are on the 1.9 firmware to get the best results.
The Jog wheel seems to be the worst of the encoders for everyone.
Luckily I seem to have one of the new batch and its very flick-able. -
