The Wave is only 1500, so is the MC Color.
For 3000, you will get both 🙂

Cool, that sounds like the double performance I have with my “standard” setup.
It would be great if more people could do tests and share results, especially Cubix DUal card setups and one card solutions are interesting then.

Go the project tab, right click the project window, say ” import+” and select the .tar.gz file.
Resolve will import the project for you, you just need to reconnect the media then .

  • I mean, seriously, we have to think about Apple as a box shifting company first.
A multimedia product selling global player which, as a hobby, also happens to sell computers.
Final Cut 10 (semi)Pro is targeted to the ambition hobby filmer who just got the latest digital SD card based camera and wants to edit a proper , friends impressing wedding video without breaking a leg.
    And its perfect for that.
I have no problems going back to AVID.
But on the other hand , with all the stuff under the hood, there might be great stuff coming our way.
The old FCP is , yeah, old…like Shake..
Nuke was very empty in the beginning and look what it is today, and what real pro people can make out of it (scripting, automations, player integrations, external flow generation and much more.
I know its frustrating to see a carthasis like this right now, but its Apple, they want to sell great hardware with easy to use software.
    Mission accomplished.

I would love to see that numerical pad on either the wave or the normal keyboard too.
    So much better.

I wonder if we could build some sort of “Standard candle”
A flow that is available to test the performance of the card combo used.
I am tempted by replacing my 120/285 combo for a 4000 only due to all sorts of reasons.
I will of course test the 4000/285 solution with Y-cable first.
That would be perfect I think.
But a nice sheet to check out the different combos would be nice, wouldn’t it ?

The interactivity is what I really need in a client session.
They are fine if I can solve it right away with half speed playback.
Otherwise it turns into a VFX shot and need to be send to that department.
Both is ok, but having it in Resolve is fantastic.

  • Exactly, Its awesome that Blackmagic now gave (will give;) us a working XMl workflow while the product they initially developed it is fading out.
But generally speaking, a tighter Send-To integration is what we really need.
Thats is where Adobe shines, that is where time is lost today.
I just bought FCPx just to learn and get into it, projects will come in fall , I am sure.
And maybe Apple uses IBC to show of some pro things.
This version now is for the masses, and it will boost Lion sales.
