    Hi Jose,

I wrote the AppStore of Apple and got already an answer (see below).
Do you think there is a point on keeping to insist?
For me the reasoning it’s long ago, does not count, since I only could understand the limitations,
    when changing my GPU.

    Thanx for any further advice.

    Greetings.

    Hi Sascha,

I’m so sorry to hear that you’re having issues using the DaVinci Resolve Studio app that you’ve purchased. I will be happy to help you get the best support for this.

After carefully reviewing your case, we’ve determined your purchase doesn’t meet the conditions for a refund as the purchase is too old to be refunded. If you’d like to learn more about our refund policy, see this page:

    Hi Richard,

Good to hear, I was about to buy a used Dongle already.
I download the Light Version of 14 – it rocks big time.
Does the Studio version for sure not need a Dongle anymore in 14?
Yes, I saw it will be 300.-$, but if I cannot return or sell my AppStore Version it is still a bummer….I paid first 500.-$ for the AppStore version and now 300.-$ for the Studio version.

Thanx. That’s the route I planed to take.
And not much to remember here: I am totally aware of that settings not going together,
But shooting with an Angieux vintage lenses and a Metabones on an A7s is a bad call:
The MB and the lens don’t communicate well and totally messing with aperature and shutter speed.

    Best,

    Sascha.

It does playback smooth in a 59.94 and 29.97 TL, but not when I try to use it as slow motion.
So I could edit it in 59.94p, give up on SloMo and then export to 59.94p.
I wonder, if I can get it then still to 24p or at least 25p with smooth playback.
60p has – for my taste – a not nice feel to it, specially for dance.

    Best,

    Sascha.

    Hi Noah,

Basically the idea was 24p, and shooting 60p, but due to a constand communication problem of the Angieux Lens with theMetabones,
it went from 1/120 or 1/60 shutter speed to 1/50 (PAL). So, when interpret the 60p footage, even on a 29.97 TL, I get smearing and jittering.

January 10, 2017 at 6:39 pm in reply to: Dragging clips from TL to KW Collection

Usually, yes, but for that particular workflow, I needed first to work with it on the TL.
So it’s not possible to either drag clips from TL to Keyword Bins?
And also not possible to convert this specific selection alone to Proxy/Optimised Files?

    Thanx.

January 1, 2017 at 4:17 pm in reply to: Want to Unlink Chroma & Luma

So, I figured, but that is really annoying.
Does that mean, you suddenly cannot control Luma and Chroma independently in the Better mode?
That’s weird and not really good.
    Why would they do that?

  • I found the reason.
Maybe helpful to others: If you set in FCPX the Spatial conform to NONE and adjust Scale and Position it comes n wrong.
Your Spatial Conform has to be set to “FIT” in order to be read correctly by DaVinci.

    Hi,

    That sound interesting.
Could you elaborate a little more in depth about the steps and how you do it: What and how you export from DaVinci, how you import into Fusion, what you exactly do in Fusion (I never used that software before), and how do I get it back to DaVinci?

    Thanx a lot!

    Hi David,

Yes, my KB Short Cuts are set to DaVinci.
I realised, yes, you are right, the Shift key works…but only when using the mouse.
When using my Wacom, it still drags the line up or down after setting the control point.

    Greetings,

    Sascha
