Hi Bill,

That’s interesting. I’ve used NeatVideo in FCPX before and rendering time was really ok.
So maybe I should buy it for my system for X then?
It’s also a lot cheaper for the X platform.
Only downside I gotta round trip from DaVinci to X and back for noise cleaning.

Can I with the LT Version still determine Pre and Post Trim Handles at all?

Hi,

I figured it out!!!
Before trying the new account method of Ronni,
I did disable some things and it worked!!!
Apparently it was either my Default Folder X in the Library/PreferencePane or one of following items in the Login Items under System Preferences:
– iTunes Helper
-Disk Warrior Daemon
– Total Finder
– DropBox

After kicking all of those out, logging out and in again, all runs smooth like a cat on a vaseline Pipe.

But that is wiping the original account, it just gives you a way of getting a user account with same Login back.

@Bryce: You can track in DaVinci as well. It actually has a very good 3D tracker now, which works pretty much spot on!

In my experience El Capitan is terrible choice for FCP7. In 10.8 and 10.9 it was running still quiet smooth,
with occasional crashes. But in 10.10. it’s downhill all the way. Shane is right: Go back to 10.6.8 or at least 10.8 or 10.9.
For converting AVCHD files, Clipwrap is my trusty companion: Fast and does multiple clips at the same time (depending how many Cores you have).

Well, I doubt it’s the RAID: SSince it was my first thought, I rebuild them, checked the drives multiple times, with several Softwares,
rebuild the RAIDs, trying both versions: Apple RAID and SoftRaid.
Also: When I create a new user account and playback material from exactly those RAIDs, all works fine, without any hick ups.
So, they can’t be the source of evil.
