Sorry Shane, I am confused… You talking about the NVIDIA 3870, but don’t you mean the ATI 3870?

    Hi,

I agree with Marc. For me Ultimatte Advantage is by far the best plug in for Green Screen work, speciall if you work with lower resolution like MiniDV. Even with not so well lit Green Screens I got amazing results. Just takes a bit to get into the interface, but once you have it – no problem.

It’s 5800.- New Israeli Shekel, which is about 1400.-$, The camera cost new still above 3000.- iN Israel.
They also give me some tech support from out the company – sort of guarantee.
I am just afraid the head wears out fast – some camera men here told me, that 1500 hours is the average max for that kind of drumheads.

    Hi Shane,

another question: The Dell 2409 is rather hard to get in Israel. Any other of the Dell Family in the same price class, that is equally good in quality?
Thanx a lot, your help is very appreciated.

Basically I need two computer screens to work with – Dual Screen set up. And one of them should give me a realistic look on colours when I am onlining the project, yes.
I will have a BlackMagic Decklink Extreme Video Card, Mac Pro with Nehalem Processor, and a SD Monitor (a little older, but working well).
Thanx a lot for your help!

    Hi,

I had exactly the same problem. And I tried everything, erasing the preferences and plists of FCP. Then I heard it’s a problem with the early versions of FX Factory Plug ins, but also uninstalling those did not help. The only solution to this strange bug is to completely reinstall your whole system. To avoid that, I logged and captured all the material on a friend’s Mac, where it just worked fine and then took the material back on my HD. Sucks, but seemed to be the only solution, when you want to avoid the hustle of rebooting your whole system.
    Greetz.
