Thank you everybody for the detailed and informative response!
I did a test, and yes, the files in CBR are slightly bigger.
Not much though.
So, all in all in it’s right to say, that the CBR version,
has to have a slightly – even though I guess, not visible –
better image quality?

Thanx for the fast reply.
I was afraid of exactly that: Only recognizes AU Plugs.
Unfortunately, the ZOOM H6 Mid_side Mic Decoder Plugin only comes as VST.

Nothing to do about it, I guess.

But I found a plug in inside FCPX, that does kind of the same thing.

First of all I spoke with BM: all dongles will keep working with the new DaVinci.
Unfortunately, you cannot sell the AppStore version, which is a true Bummer:
PC people, if they bought a Dongle still have the option to sell it one day, even if now very cheap.
In my case I have to buy a Dongle version for getting around the AppStore’s OpenCL limitations,
So I’m stuck with two versions of the software.
Big waste of money.

Apple offered some movie rentals as compensation, but that hardly matches the loss of 500.-$.

Yes, but that is exactly where I see the fault:
In old days, when buying a software let’s say a FCS, you where able to sell it.
Nowadays, you spend a lot of money for a software and when it’s licensed, you are stuck with it.
That is ok, I think, we stuff up to 200.-$ – fair enough.
But a 500.-$ Software?

For me it’s Dongle’d Version from now on, if available.
I learned my lesson from that waste of money.

AppStore answered me by now: No refund and not even the possibility of selling the AppStore License.
A Real Bummer.
Even though they offered some movie rentals as compensation I find this absolutely not right:
If I buy a software, I always have the option, to sell it to another user.
That this is not not possible with cheap Apps on the Store makes sense.
But a Software for 500.-$ and not to imply the possibility of selling it further, specially when certain
limitations were not really put forward while purchasing is a little questionable. to say the least.

I learned my lesson, and will think very carefully when thinking of buying another Software from AppStore directly.
