I am triple careful, since there’s always an option to walk down a road without return.Worx4 would be fine for me: It’s a documentary, so no Multi Cam involved.

No connection with PPro:
I export my final graded film from DaVinci as ProResHQ.
All colours still look like they should, one on one like in the reference monitor.
Then I use MC to transcode to MOV H264 with 25MB/sec.
This result then shows a clear colour shift towards red in all skin tons and a slight reduction of orange tone everywhere else.
Re importing this files back to DaVinci confirms this also as clear movement in the scopes when comparing to the original ProResHQ file.When doing compression though with Compressor, it stays spot on same colours.
So, it’s clearly a problem with MC. -
No, the original files MP4s recorded on GH5.
But I think I found a solution: If I open the pop up menu of the settings
in the source viewer, and check the box for “High Quality Playback”, then it displays it right,
even if I go down to 1/8 or 1/4 of the playback quality.Best,

Yes, it’s what I thought.
For now, when getting those kind of AAf’s I just change
everything manually: If was in AVID a Fade to Black (not Dip to Black!)
Dissolve, it comes into DaVinci with a complete different Fade behaviour and Fades to White.
All I do then is change it to Cross Dissolve and it solves it.
I realized yesterday it works much faster, than changing first the colour to Black and then Fiddling with the transition curve.Best,

It was a MAC Formatted Mirrored Drive.
But it’s all good, we recovered the Data.
Film got finished, ran already in Cinemas in 3 countries and even won the Swiss Bern Film Prize. ☺Best,
