    Hi Craig,

    thanx a lot!

  • Even better: It automatically switches from GPU to CPU if needed!
And I just watched the Tutorial video – it has a bunch of really great neat updates:

    1. You can toggle grade on/off with one keyboard shortcut like in COLOR
    2. Ratio Adjustable Vignettes now
    3. New Looks and Tools
    4. Skin Smoothing and skin tone adjusting tool and a lot more.

It’s some serious update – Red Giant did to Looks, what Apple should have done to FCP 😉

  • As usual: TAHXN Rafael. Long time i did not hear from you.
    All ok?
Will it help to upgrade to Looks 2.0? I heard you can switch from GPU based render over to CPU to not
    run into this problem?

    Greetings,

But the problem is that it is already all in the markers – so I have to copy paste 600-700 marker texts to a plug in. That is crazy a lot of work. And how does that help me to get it on paper?

I woould have to check. I do remember though I did a test between all the Denoisers I have in FCP – it was 4-5 (NI, TMTS, PHYX) and the one from MAgic Bullet beat them all by far. In no other Denoiser I did dind such an high amount of regaining smoothness in the image without too much bluring and loss of focus.

Now, in my experience – Dave, correct me if I am wrong – it is better to output this timeline (Dave’s workflow) then over compressor, then rendering it out directly over FCP. Compressor seems, at least in my experience to do a better job.
And if you are in the lucky position to do the same workflow with AE – go for that one, it’s a lot better.

And what happens, if I’d treat the timeline as Progressive, and output the whole film as progressive?
When I tried it with parts and opened it in the QT Player it looked ok and the Fields seemed to be vanished.
When I play then with the De-Interlace settings in the QT Player Preferences I do not see fields anymore.
Does that mean, by outputting it this way FCP made the clip automatically progressive?

    Greetz,

    Sascha
