    Hi Everybody,

I am editing a documentary, which makes me ad a lot of Markers on the Clips with Explanations.
Since I am aware of the fact, that FCP6 does not have a marker export options as text, I planned to unfold the markers in the Browser, extend the clip name are, to see the whole name and make a screen shot and print that – so I have an external overview of all the shots on paper.
Now I realized, that I cannot extend the name field beyond a certain size – which does not let me read all I wrote into the markers.
Any ideas of how else I could get all my Marker Names out of FCP on paper – and please, don’t say writing down by hand – we are talking about more than 600!

    Thanx for any suggestions!

Create a simple text CG over the video clip. You can still keep the markers.

Ran into this issue on a huge series I worked on last year. If you happen to know someone with FCP 7 (I ended up using one of the online editors laptops to do this), make a copy of your project file and have them open it and export the marker list for you.

Good idea! That is probably what I gonna do, if there’s no other way!
Thanx a lot for the tip!

    could you elaborate on this?

Use Boris Title 3D or FCP’s Text Generator. Use the same text that you would use for your markers.

But the problem is that it is already all in the markers – so I have to copy paste 600-700 marker texts to a plug in. That is crazy a lot of work. And how does that help me to get it on paper?
