I will never recommend recording audio on a DSLR. No genlock. Try Zoom H4N. Get a good sound guy.

Export an uncompressed TIFF frame from your NLE, at the point where you think the effect is worst. Assuming you haven’t blown the red channel during acquisition, it could be a quirk in the converter.
Or, it could be a monitor problem. Have you checked it on another monitor?

A single frame will be about 20 kb, assuming you are using the correct notation. If you meant 20 kB, then the answer is simple: No, you can’t.
If you wanted to try it for fun, I recommend compressing to a PNG image sequence. Audio separate.

Debayering speed will increase, especially with R3D. There have already been comparisons of Red Rocket vs dual Xeons/i7s. If I remember correctly, two CPUs should be equal to one Rocket.
