I have been using mpeg streamclip to convert 5D footage to Apple ProRes 4444 to be used in Final cut. I have interlacing turned off. I am selecting unscaled as the frame size. I have also tried several different codecs. Every time I convert, I am seeing artifacting in my reds. Has anyone else had this problem? Any ideas for fixes?

Export an uncompressed TIFF frame from your NLE, at the point where you think the effect is worst. Assuming you haven’t blown the red channel during acquisition, it could be a quirk in the converter.

Or, it could be a monitor problem. Have you checked it on another monitor?
