    thanks for responding. That motion tab order is completely not intuitive.

  • if i’m on a deadline and have the storage i export a selfcontained QT movie and then reimport it and do the layoff from there. it’s usually much quicker than waiting for a long render during ETT.

    yeah, i almost always work in uncompressed 8bit. right now however i’m working on footage shot 1080 29.97PsF Uncompressed 10bit. i’m keying them in HD and then cutting them into an NTSC Un8 timeline.

    by the way does anyone elses Panasonic BT-LH1700WP lean green?

    yes. go look in the Boris group. This problem and the fix is explained in detail by the people at Boris.

    I’m on a G5, FCP 5.1.2, and Boris CC4 (with the patch from Boris) works on some of our edit suites. The Transitions crash FCP every time and you have to delete your prefs and restart to get back to square one. The filters work on some of our machines but not others. It appears they have destabilized all the machines to varying degrees. Still trying to work it out some more scientific cause and effects.
