I had that happen once and used a paper clip to get it unstuck. Just be careful. Not sure if this will help in your case but it worked for me. Good luck.

The EX-3 only recieves the signal from the front. You are not trying to activate it from behind the camera are you?

Is your sequence setup for the EX codec and correct frame rate? Make sure it matches your footage or you can have problems.

  • Also, if you have named the card you will have to rename it after formatting.

I would charge $50 per hr. but the rates can vary widely depending on how fast you are as a editor and if you are well known. I have heard of rates from $20 per hr. to $175 per hr. but the more expensive rates are for heavy graphics work etc.

Also, Canon’s new codec is 50 Mbps and their cameras are in the same price range so Sony should be able to do it. With many clients requiring a minimun of 50 Mbps this should be a no brainer upgrade.

I would try taking it into Color and using the Geometry tab, define the monument. Then choose the “outside” option and take the color saturation to zero.

I agree, the new Browser does not seem to help us much with workflow. Also, setting in and out points takes time to make a new clip, you can’t just set the points and import, it just makes a new clip in the Explorer window. You still have to do another step to import it.

Yes, I have been using Transfer for this. I was just hoping for a one step solution. Hopefully in the next version?

Yes, I know about CRC but was hoping it could be done with the option of making a .MOV download. The two step process is not fast enough for me so I make two downloads to separate drives for safety.
